Cooksmith, Barsmith, Blacksmith, Locksmith — The Smith is the maker. We are all makers skilled in creating happiness through great food and drinks, warm hospitality, and a genuine desire to go the extra mile. Everyone is a maker, from the cooks and the bartenders to our guests.

Since 2007, we’ve served food people crave; straightforward dishes that satisfy.  Walk in the door and you’re in for a great time.  Whether it’s date night, drinks on the town, a big birthday bash, a working lunch, a boozy brunch, or an I-don’t-want-to-cook-tonight night, we’ve got you covered.

The breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner menus feature bistro classics and seasonal fare. We work very closely with local farmers and purveyors to source food from people we know and trust. We believe in using local, natural and sustainable foods whenever possible. We have high standards for every ingredient and we put thought into every bite.

Our bars are large and lively! Our craft cocktail program is seasonal and innovative, often containing house-made elements. The wine program is all about keeping it casual and fun, serving over 20 wines by the glass or carafe. Our beers are all domestic and those on tap are brewed within a day’s drive of the restaurants.

Parla is an all-day neighborhood spot to gather round and let the good times roll. Situated on the Upper West Side of New York City, the menu celebrates our love of pizza and cocktails with a focus on simple, quality ingredients and warm hospitality.

Whether catching up over an espresso in the morning, meeting up for a cocktail in the afternoon, or stopping in for a cheesy slice in the evening, Parla brings together the spirit of great conversation with the joy of pizza.

Taking its name from Italian to talk, Parla speaks to our New York City roots and our passion for simple Italian cooking. Both square and round pizzas are the anchor of the menu, along with pastas, veggies, and shareable plates. The bar specializes in espresso, wine, and cocktails using a curated selection of amari and vermouth.
